No-knead bread
Ingredients:
1 cup of wheat flour (white or wholegrain)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon dry yeast
½ cup lukewarm water
2-3 tablespoons oil
Preparation:
Sift the flower in a deep bowl. Then stir in the salt and yeast.
Pour in the oil and water. Blend it all together with a fork until you have a soft dough of medium thickness (like a cake). Cover the bowl with a piece of cling film and put it in a warm place (next to a heater, hot oven, or next to a sunny window). Let rest for about 2 hours until the dough doubles in size.
Cover the work surface with a sheet of baking paper and sprinkle with flour. Oil your hands and transfer the dough to the paper. With smooth and quick movements, shape a loaf of bread.
Then transfer it to a baking dish with the baking paper. Decorate to taste with a sharp knife (cut slits) or by pinching the dough with 2 forks.
Bake the bread until golden in an oven preheated to 180°C.
