Sweet potato sticks
1-2 sweet potatoes
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon of ground fenugreek
1 teaspoon asafoetida (or garlic powder)
1 teaspoon dry parsley
Salt and pepper
1 tablespoon of oil
Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into long sticks with a square section of 1 cm. In a bowl, combine all the dry spices and the cornstarch. Mix well.
Carefully roll the sticks in the dry mixture. Spread them out in an even layer on a baking tray, lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle the rest of the dry mixture over the sticks.
Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 40 to 50 minutes, turning them halfway through until crispy.
The sweet potato sticks can be served as a side dish or as an appetizer. They are delicious both hot and at room temperature.
