Cocoa cake
Based on my grandmother Velka’s recipe

Ingredients:
500 g plain yogurt
½ cup* of neutral oil
1 teaspoon of baking soda
3 tablespoons plain cocoa
1 cup of sugar
2 cups of flour
1 egg
200 g dark chocolate
100 g butter
* I use a tea cup of 280 ml
Preparation:
Whisk the egg and sugar in a bowl. Sprinkle the cocoa over it. Stir the yogurt with the baking soda and when it rises, dip it into the above mixture. Pour in the oil. Blend it all together.
Spoon in the flour. Then pour the batter into a rectangular baking pan, either greased or lined with parchment paper. Bake at 180°C until a toothpick thrust in the middle of the cake comes out dry.
Melt the chocolate and butter in a small saucepan. Stir vigorously until you get a smooth texture. Leave aside to cool for 10 minutes and spread it over the cake (completely cooled). Let rest for a few hours before cutting into squares or rhombus.
