Candy potatoes
Ingredients:
Potatoes of the same size (medium size)
Aluminum foil
Butter
Salt and pepper
Preparation:
Brush the potatoes thoroughly under tap water. Dry and wrap each in a piece of aluminum foil to make a candy (pinch the 2 ends of the aluminum foil to make a candy).
Place the candies directly on the grill of the oven preheated to 200°C. Bake for about 20 to 30 minutes. The cooking time depends on the size and variety of the potatoes. Stick a toothpick into the flesh of the potatoes, if it comes in easily, remove the candies from the oven.
Serve the potato candies while still hot, as they are, wrapped like a candy, leaving guests the pleasure of unwrapping their potatoes themselves, cutting them in 2 and seasoning with salt and pepper. Leaving a dice of butter melt on each half of potato is our favorite recipe.
These potato candies can make the main course or the garnish. They go very well with grilled meat, cheeses (even raclette), fish or mayonnaise-based salads (like Russian salad).
