Oat drink


4 tablespoons of oat flakes, crushed
400 ml water
3 tablespoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon


Mix the oat flakes and water. Sweeten to taste. Bring to a boil and cook 2-3 minutes, until the oats soften and absorb some of the water volume. There are no exact proportions, actually. If necessary, add more water (if the mixture is too thick). Flavor with cinnamon.

Remove from heat and mix with a hand blender until smooth and semi-thick consistence (like a velouté soup). Cool and serve the oat drink for breakfast, replacing milk. A fruit and a good sourdough bread can complete the healthy breakfast.
