Green salad with pears and caramelized walnuts

Ingredients for 1-2 people:

Favorite fresh salad

1 ripe pear

40-50 g of hard cheese, such as Cantal

½ avocado

1 handful of shelled walnuts

10 g butter

20 ml cognac

2 tablespoons sugar

Lemon juice

Olive oil

Salt

Preparation:

Wash the salad and cut it into large slices. Transfer the salad in a bowl. Sprinkle over cheese cubes (I had French Cantal last time). Аrrange beautifully, in a circle, half-moons of pear (unpeeled) and avocado (without the skin). Season the salad with salt, lemon juice and olive oil (you can stir them in a sauce).

Prepare the caramelized nuts in advance. Pour the brandy in a small saucepan with the sugar. Let the sugar caramelize and add the butter and the walnuts. Mix well. Remove the walnuts from heat and spread them on a baking paper sheet. Let cool. Then sprinkle the salad with the caramelized walnuts (without crushing them).

Serve the salad with pears and caramelized walnuts immediately.
